Why Do Wind Mills Spin Attention More Than Other Topics?
Why do you think the Wind Mill subject has spun more attention that the other topics posted on this forum? Issues about education, jobs, land use, animal control, and drug abuse are equally important topics yet seem not to have drawn the focused attention as the wind mills. |

The industrial wind turbine problem is easier. Pocahontas County gains nothing from construction of an industrial facility on our border with Virginia. But we pay. We pay the Federal tax subsidies. We pay for upgrades to the electric grid that we don't need. We pay with the loss of our historic, cultural and natural resources. We don't get a cent in return. |

There's the old saying, "You can't see it from my house." In the case of giant windmills that isn't true. Everyone can see them. Until you see them in person you can't appreciate how huge they are. Once these windmills are in place they will be there for all intents and purposes forever. Where are our elected officials who should be looking out for our best interests? |
