OK so what's in it for me?

The runaway PSD last night has approved their side of the transfer of the Snowshoe sewer to the County. So I want to ask all of you "just what is in it for us?" We know the system infrastructure is in poor shape, We know that Snowshoe was fined millions of dollars because their system could not meet even the most forgiving environmental standards. We know that once this transfer happens, the PSD will be totally responsible for all problems. We know Snowshoe wants out of the sewer business. We know that everyone involved in the transfer is desperate to get paid. We know that Scott millican said "This has been decided in Charleston".
SO WHAT I DON'T KNOW IS "What is in it for us?"
Please tell me why on earth the County Commission is so afraid to say boo!

Mr Saffer
Maybe you should explain to the people how this is now on a fast track. James is a lame duck president and he doesn't care what the people think. Especially since they just cost him almost $35 thousand. This project has to get "sealed" before Jan 09 when the new board is seated.

I am told this:

"including all wastewater utility customers, revenues, rights, obligations and System assets, as is where is" in the new wording. Well that word OBLIGATIONS is a hum dinger!
