Gas Price Differences
I noticed on the news that the percentage of income spent on gas in "well-to-do" states is about 2-3% but in West Virginia it is 15%. That is a real difference and puts us at a huge disadvantage in this key inflation commodity. Fortunately, we can offset this a little by our own ingenuity and labors in our gardens and woodlots and fields; areas of advantage that we have over our "richer" city dwellers. |

Re: Gas Price Differences
yes but traveling back & forth to work can offset your gains. Travelling from FL to WV.---1st tank of gas used on flatlands we got 17.2 mpg. When we got in to the mtns. of NC, from there on up we only got 11.7mpg. |
